Das India Pale Ale (IPA) ist ein stark hopfenbetontes obergäriges Bier. Charakteristisch ist vor allem eine starke Hopfenbittere, oftmals fruchtige Aromen, die an Zitrusfrüchte, Maracuja oder Papaya erinnern, sowie ein relativ hoher Alkoholgehalt. Mainstream halt, aber fein.
